I should start this by saying, I don't think that I should have called this hog hunt a ladies hog hunt. I have known Nancy Jo (Nock1) through Talk Hunting.com for over a year now, we actually set this hunt up over a year ago and and I know her to be a lady and a hunter, not a lady hunter. I went this morning to the camp to get things ready of the hog hunt for the ladies of Talk Hunting. John "cookin" Thibideaux met me there to give a hand. I put four bags of corn soaking in water and added a beer to help it start fermenting, I sure hate to waste a beer, so this better work. We put out six bags of corn at nine different stand locations with some "Hog Wild" poured over the corn. I stand corrected on my previous blog. The bear black mag bow is older but not one of the oldest compound bows. after reserching I found out that it was made after 1978. I looked at the bear stamp on it and its was manufactured in florida. the bear company move from michiagain to florida in 1978. never the less its still a retro bow that is going to kill some whitetails this next season.

Just last night I was watching the tv show Texas Outdoor Zone. It showed a father taking his son for his first hunt. I then started to think about my Grandfather's first lesson in the art of hunting. This has been a terrible three weeks. I've been sick since before Christmas with what the doctor is calling Asthmatic Bronchitis. I had it for the four weeks before Christmas, then felt good for a week and a half and then had a relapse, but worse this time. I'm on anti-biotic, Albutrol inhaler, and cough syrup of some type. The worst thing is having to miss so much deer hunting. We still have three weeks of hunting, so all is not lost. One more week of rifle and two of primitive weapons.
